A GKS IMPLEMENTATION FOR THE APPLE MACINTOSH

The development of a GKS subset for the Apple Macintosh*, to be used for both application prototyping and teaching purposes, is described. The system features multiple workstations on a single screen, allowing users to define their own GKS environment, and request mode input for all device classes with the exception of PICK. Some implementation details are given and output from sample programs is shown. The appendices contain source code for selected library functions, source code for the sample programs and the appropriate subset of the language binding.
