Old rites for new gods. Studying the nationalist appropriation of religious artifacts and meanings from the tradition of European Socio-Cultural Psychology

This research study recovers some psychologists from the European socio-cultural tradition, such as Vygotski, Bartlett or Moscovici, to show an incipient psychological explanation to the current phenomenom of transfer of meanings and values from one socio-cultural structure to another. Specifically, it is studied the link between the religious practices and the nationalist movements through the example of Spanish Civil War.
