El hombre perdido: the last of the novels of the nebula

Half a century after the emergence of his classic work about Ramon Gomez de la Serna, Professor Cardona offers to Revista de Filologia of the University of La Laguna an excerpt, now in Spanish, relating to El hombre perdido. He studies here the author's metaphysical concerns and obsessions as well as the structure of a work showing contemporary chaos. The experimentation, the aesthetic concerns related to Mallarme, Rimbaud, Laforgue and the surrealists, the baroque details or the presence of an individualism close to Baroja's, appearing in this work give a better understanding of Gomez de la Serna. Cardona also gives to Revista de Filologia a copy of the letter sent by Ramon Gomez de la Serna in which he talks about his book.
