摘要
This paper reviews the works in polysaccharide chemistry conducted under the scientific supervision of Academician N.S. Enikolopov. In those studies, the principle feasibility of preparing cellulose derivatives (alkali cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, cellulose acetates) and chitin (chitosan, carboxymethyl ethers of chitin and chitosan) under the combined action of high pressure and shear strain was demonstrated. Performing the process in these conditions reduces the consumption of reagents, allows conducting the reaction in solvent-free media, and significantly reduces the problems associated with waste water treatment.
