摘要
The kinetics of oxidation of ascorbic acid with HgCl2 in acid ClO4- and Cl- media have been studied by estimating ascorbiC acid ceremetrically. The stoichiometry of the reaction is represented by the equation 2HgCl2 + H2A --> Hg2Cl2 + A + 2H+ + 2Cl-In Cl- media the following experimental rate law was observed; -d[H2A]/dt = (k1'/K2[Cl-] + k2' + k3'K3[Cl-]) K[HgCl2][H2A]/[H+] where k1', k2' and k3' are the rate constants. Ionic strength does not affect the rate, whereas Cl- greatly retards the reaction.
