摘要：
The paper presents several aspects of the corrosion of the welded joints of tanks in the refinery processing plants. The most frequent corrosion forms namely pitting corrosion, intergranular corrosion and crevice corrosion were treated and examples were given. The strength of various welded joints was then studied, the advantages and disadvantages of each being emphasized. In the end, suggestions for the avoidance and delaying of the corrodion process are made.
