摘要
In this paper, a second-order slip flow of a viscous incompressible fluid over a shrinking sheet in the presence of thermal radiation and mass diffusion is studied numerically. The sheet is permeable and subjected to constant suction. Appropriate similarity transformation is used to transform the governing nonlinear partial differential equations to a system of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The transform equations are then solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta fourth-order method with the shooting technique. Computation is performed with the help of very robust symbolic computational software MATLAB R2012b(bvp4c). Effects of pertinent parameters on the fluid velocity, temperature, mass concentration as well as the shear stress and rate of heat and mass transfer are presented graphically and discussed. The flow and heat and mass transfer induced by shrinking sheets are important in the study of extrusion process.
