摘要
The digital generation has been focus of study by the national and international literature. These studies have focused on topics related to the interest of young people, their characteristics and attitudes, among others, but few studies are related on the role of young in the organization. This study aims to analyze the performance of the digital generation in the context of organizations in the opinion of managers. This research is exploratory and was conducted through in-depth interviews with two managers: a human resource manager in a multinational company and an owner of a medium sized company. The data were treated by content analysis. For the managers interviewed, the young people offer valuable contribution to organizations. However, hire them and keep them requires actions by the company to provide greater integration between these young people and the organization. These initiatives are necessary because these young people have a different behavior of the other employees in relation to commitment, according to the view of managers.
