摘要：

This article analyzes the way in Darien social actors made use of strategies that allowed them to coexist in the same territory while fighting for their interests. This, considering the eighteenth century, such strategies are often inclined to negotiations, alliances and peace agreements that allowed indigenous communities interact with neighboring authorities and Hispanic-Creole.
