摘要
Studies addressing the organizational management of a surgical center have been growing increasingly necessary due to its importance in a hospital. This work aims to investigate and analyze the organizational management and operation of a surgical center, focusing on factors that facilitate or hamper the work of nurses who manage this service. The theoretical basis to support the results and analysis are based on the authors subject's experts, for example, Gomes (2009), Malimpence (2007), Tajra (2008), among others. The methodological procedures were guided by the exploratory research and bibliographic, as well as the case study and participant research. We used a qualitative approach to evaluate the data, whose collection was given in the form of a questionnaire with the nurse-managers of the Surgical Center. The results suggested as factors that facilitate, the integrated and shared management, monitoring and performance evaluation of taken actions, and the employee motivation, as factors that hamper, the insufficient and inadequate communication, lack of clear criteria and the lack of attention, that generates waste of time to remake the work.
