The paper traces the correspondence of Shukshin's works to the movies starring Shukshin as an actor: "Alyonka" by Boris Barnet, "When the Trees had Grown High" by Lev Kulidzhanov, "We, the Two Men" by Yury Lysenko, "Three Days of Viktor Chernyshov" by Mark Osepyan. The same correspondence is shown to the two movies which Shukshin must have known though they bear no relation to his actor filmography: "A Soldier's Father" by Revaz Chkheidze and "The Diamond Arm" by Leonid Gaidai.
