摘要：
Principal components analysis allows for the translation of forms, from a single cell to a whole plant, within a specific space. Comparison of structures and of plants, contemporary or not, can be made with this method. The author proposes a specific technique (division of the plant in morphological blocks fitting into each other) to enlarge the field of application of the principal components analysis leading to continuist and process morphology.
