摘要
The quality of family relationship was established as the link between family members, when it is guided by protective factors, making it especially relevant in adolescence. In this perspective, religious practices have affected the family relationship, but it has been little explored in national polls. This research investigated the impact that a Christian movement has on the quality of relationship between parents and adolescents. The study was characterized as qualitative, using for data collection the focus group technique with a group of parents and other adolescents. Data were analyzed from the categorical content analysis divided into four categories. It was evident that adherence to the religious movement was constituted as a network of social and emotional support and possible changes in the branch and marital family subsystem, as well as in educational practices and parental involvement.
