Electrowinning of anticorrosive zinc-cobalt alloy coatings

摘要
Results of investigations applying to electrowinning of zinc - cobalt alloy coatings on steel substrate have been showed in this work. Influence of the process parameters on chemical composition of the coatings was examined. Morphology of received coatings was illustrated, moreover their hardness, roughness and corrosion resistance were determined. It was found that Zn-Co alloy coatings containing less than 5,5 wt.% cobalt are characterized by relatively high R-a roughness parameter and high corrosion resistance, better than simple zinc coating.
