摘要
The burnout syndrome, a response to chronic stress, is an alteration of the physical, emotional, psychological and social subjects who suffer it, mainly health professionals (including nurses). The three indicators of the syndrome 2 according to Maslach are: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment. The aim of this study was to design a proposal to address or reduce the burnout syndrome ("burn through labor"), detected in nursing at the University Hospital Angel Larralde, Valencia, Carabobo State. The diagnosis indicated that in 62 nurses (42% of the population) of HUALA exists: High emotional exhaustion, intermediate depersonalization and personal accomplishment in a low-level representative, which means burnout syndrome in a middle-high level in this population1. The questionnaire Wear Professional Nursing (CDPE) and the Occupational Expectations (EXP) were applied with the intention of collecting the necessary data to identify needs and to structure the proposal. High work overload, high contact with death and pain, intermediate role ambiguity, a low-level conflictive interaction, and distant and impersonal responses towards patients were identified. Burnout has generated professional, socio-familiar, physical and psychological consequences that warrant an intervention as a proposal, not to go beyond to critical values. Strategies for preventing and coping with at individual, group and organizational level, preventing the source of risk as well as giving individual protection are proposed. The proposal consists of seven intervention strategies: formal surveys, training in managing emotions, search for social support (informal), retroinformation and interaction system, coping with employment, family education and work conditioning areas. Each strategy has specific objectives and steps for its development.
