RANDOM SEQUENTIAL ADSORPTION IN POROUS SOLIDS

摘要
The irreversible random sequential adsorption of spherical particles on the surface of a three-dimensional sponge-like porous structure was investigated by computer simulation. Results obtained for various values of particle size and porosity indicate that the adsorption kinetics follow Feder's limiting power law for random sequential adsorption on a plane surface. The maximum coverage θ(∞) was in all cases found to be higher than that for the plane surface case. A good correlation for θ(∞) as a function of particle size and porosity is presented. © 1991.
