摘要
Depending on the magnitude of the excitation response of the free liquid surface, the liquid and solid properties, the surface tension and the roughness or smoothness of the solid the contact line of the liquid surface to the solid container wall may slip, slide or be anchored. For an ideal liquid in a cylindrical tank the natural frequencies and response of the liquid have been determined for the cases. They are depending on the magnitude of the "sliding friction " coefficient larger than those of the freely slipping edge. The results for the anchored contact line exhibit the largest natural frequencies.
