摘要：

This article analyzes the strategic decisions naval Germany to the West during the Second World War, especially after the invasion of the USSR by its military forces and U.S. entry into the conflict. We emphasize the use of submarines as the main weapon of naval warfare in the Atlantic, the gradual increase of the underwater action in the southern part of that ocean, and finally, Brazil's entry in the war.
