Young and armed rebels. A look at the identity and memory militant during the transition in Chile, 1990-2004

With the start of the political transition in Chile, the organizations that used violence between their tools of struggle against dictatorship remained politically active in their propaganda and military action. What this historical process and explained how they had come and that political, social ethics and even supporting the rebel action? Was there a specific socio-cultural perspective that would give them justification and internal consistency to their actions? How are these militants had formed, their organizations and what their strategies of struggle and political project? How had faced persecution, torture and imprisonment for more than a decade and was meant as a subjective process of "peace"? This paper seeks to answer some of these questions.
