摘要
An approach to comprehensive regional planning for the main agricultural land uses (agriculture, forestry and range) and soil protection (ecological land use planning) has been tested for the region of Attica, Greece, which had been surveyed, mapped and evaluated for these uses at a scale of 1:50 000. The approach is based on the physical ability of the land to produce, its sensitivity approach is based on the physical ability of the land to produce, its sensitivity to soil erosion and on the preferred socio-economic conditions in the region. Initially, three scenarios were developed for the three alternative main land uses and for soil protection, Scenario a: Agriculture > Forestry > Range > Protection Scenario p: Protection > Forestry > Range > Agriculture Scenario f: Forestry > Protection > Agriculture > Range which give emphasis to agriculture, soil protection and forestry, respectively. Subsequently, to each part of the land (map unit) "relative importance values" were assigned according to its land capability for an alternative land use and position of the use in the scenarios. Finally, maps and tables were constructed showing the proposed land uses and the required changes in present land use by each scenario. Present land use was then compared with proposed land uses by each scenario and one land use scenario was selected. © 1990 Academic Press Limited.
