BLOOD-SERUM TYROSINE AND TRYPTOPHANE GLUCOGENIC AMINO-ACIDS IN PSORIASIS PATIENTS ABUSING ALCOHOL

Spectrofluorometry of blood serum tyrosine and tryptophan, carried out in 67 male patients with generalized psoriasis, 35 of these abusing alcohol, 17 alcoholics and 15 using no alcohol, and a reference group of 13. normal subjects have demonstrated elevated blood serum concentrations of these amino acids in psoriasis patients, particularly high in those abusing alcohol. Relationships between the levels of blood serum glucogenic amino acids in psoriasis patients abusing alcohol, their psychoemotional status, and specific features of carbohydrate metabolism were revealed.
