摘要：

In the reported industrial research program, the possibilities of naphtalene output increase by thermal conversion of high-boiling aromatic raw materials in the coke chamber under arch space, during the process of coal coking, have been investigated. Processing of naphtalene tails injected into the under arch space during the end phase of the coking process, in quantity of ca 2. 5% by weight calculated on a dry coal batch, yielded 65% of liquid products containing 35% of naphtalene and 5% of benzene. This percentage represented an increase of naphtalene content in the tested coke tar from 8% to 20%.
