摘要
The Mexican Catarino Erasmo Garza was a journalist in United States. From there, he organized the very first armed incursions against the government of Porfirio Diaz. Running away from the Mexican and American authorities harassment, he became part of a group of Colombian radicals exiled in Costa Rica, joined the plans to fight against the "Regeneracion" and, during the brief 1895 war, he lead the attack against the Bocas del Toro military quarters in Panama. Garza opened a front at the liberal internationalist activity that flourished in Latin America during the last decade of the 19th Century, two phenomena not yet studied enough.
