Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) is defined as illness reactions associated with exposure to more than one chemical, at significantly lower exposure levels than would cause noticeable illness in the general population, not mediated solely by known immune mechanisms, often accompanied by unusual fatigue, involving symptoms in multiple organ systems, and usually including symptoms of the central nervous system.
