摘要
Specific antibodies of IgA class can be detected in both sera and saliva of patients with hypersensitivity to wheat gliadin. This finding can be used for a non-invasive diagnostic procedure for celiac disease (CD). Development of an ELISA methods for detection, quantitation and measurement of avidity of salivary IgA anti-gladin is presented in this paper. A fast chromatographic procedure for isolation of standard secretory IgA is also presented. Comparing the avidity of rabbit IgG anti-BSA antibodies in serum samples taken during primary and secondary immune response with avidity of rabbit hyperimmune IgG antibodies as well as with human salivary IgA anti-gliadin, it was shown that gliadin induces synthesis of antibodies of low avidity only. Methods described in this paper will be used for further investigation of the role of mucosal anti-gliadin antibodies in the development of celiac disease.
