The Simplified joint-stock companies in Colombia and their critics: An evaluation from economic law analysis

This paper presents the main criticisms of Sociedades por Acciones Simplificadas (SAS), and alternatives or responses to these criticisms, to do it, it is necessary to address an analysis of the SAS from the viewpoint of economic analysis of law. Thus, this article is divided into four parts, the first of which will be a general reference to the relationship between law and economics, in the second part, we will focus on the main characteristics of Act 1258 of 2008, in the third part we turn to criticisms of the SAS, and the fourth part will respond to criticisms of the SAS, from the point of view of economic analysis of law.
