Changes in the elemental composition of soil caused by application of municipal sewage sludge were studied. The elemental composition of the 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm soil layers was shown to depend on the application of sewage sludge and the combined application of sewage sludge and mineral fertilizers. Sod-Podzolic Sandy Loam soils can be classified as slightly, moderately, and severely polluted with total pollution parameter Z(t) values less than 10, from 10 to 25, and greater than 25, respectively.
